An FDA-approved microfoam injection that treats varicose veins above and below the knee. No incisions, no heat, and no general anesthesia required.
Varicose veins and spider veins affect a significant portion of adults across the country. According to the Society for Vascular Surgery, approximately 24% of adults in the United States have visible varicose veins, and 6% develop chronic venous disease that can lead to leg swelling, skin discoloration, and venous ulcers if left untreated.
Applied to Red Mountain’s population of approximately 50,000, that means roughly 12,000 residents may have visible varicose veins and approximately 3,000 could be living with chronic venous disease.
Red Mountain is a popular neighborhood in northeast Mesa. Several factors increase the likelihood of developing vein disease, including prolonged standing or sitting, family history, pregnancy, and age. Arizona’s extreme heat also plays a role – high temperatures cause veins to expand, which can worsen symptoms like heaviness, swelling, and visible bulging. Many residents notice their symptoms intensify during the warmer months.
After treatment, Red Mountain residents return to the outdoor lifestyle they enjoy:

Light walking is encouraged immediately. Most patients can resume moderate hiking within three to five days. Your vein specialist will provide specific guidance based on the trails you enjoy and your procedure type.
Duplex ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging test that uses sound waves to visualize blood flow in your veins. It helps our specialists identify damaged vein valves, blood flow direction, and the severity of your vein condition. The test is painless, takes about 20 minutes, and is performed during your free evaluation.
Compression stockings can manage varicose vein symptoms but do not cure the underlying condition. They help improve blood flow and reduce swelling, and are often required by insurance as a first step before approving treatment. Our vein specialists will advise whether compression therapy alone is sufficient for your situation.
