An FDA-approved microfoam injection that treats varicose veins above and below the knee. No incisions, no heat, and no general anesthesia required.
Varicose veins and spider veins affect a significant portion of adults across the country. According to the Society for Vascular Surgery, approximately 24% of adults in the United States have visible varicose veins, and 6% develop chronic venous disease that can lead to leg swelling, skin discoloration, and venous ulcers if left untreated.
Even in a smaller community like Desert Hills – population approximately 4,000 – those numbers are significant. Roughly 960 residents may have visible varicose veins and approximately 240 could be dealing with chronic venous disease.
Desert Hills is a quiet desert community north of Phoenix. Several factors increase the likelihood of developing vein disease, including prolonged standing or sitting, family history, pregnancy, and age. Arizona’s extreme heat also plays a role – high temperatures cause veins to expand, which can worsen symptoms like heaviness, swelling, and visible bulging. Many residents notice their symptoms intensify during the warmer months.
After treatment, Desert Hills residents return to the lifestyle they chose this community for:

Yes. Heat causes veins to dilate, increasing pressure on vein valves. Combined with prolonged standing during outdoor work, this accelerates varicose vein development. Wearing compression stockings, taking sitting breaks, and staying hydrated help reduce risk.
Compression stockings apply graduated pressure to the legs, helping veins push blood upward toward the heart. They reduce swelling, alleviate aching, and slow the progression of vein disease. They are often recommended as a first-line conservative treatment and may be required by insurance before approving procedures.
A duplex ultrasound uses sound waves to create images of blood flow in your leg veins. It identifies damaged valves, blood flow direction, and the location of diseased veins. The test is painless, takes about 20 minutes, and is performed during your free evaluation.
Yes. All our minimally invasive procedures use only local anesthesia. Patients are alert throughout the procedure and drive themselves home afterward.
