Yes. Studies have shown a connection between restless leg symptoms and underlying venous insufficiency. Treating the vein disease often reduces or eliminates restless leg symptoms, especially when they worsen at night or after prolonged sitting.
Spider veins that are purely cosmetic may not require medical treatment. However, if spider veins are accompanied by aching, heaviness, swelling, or increasing numbers, they may indicate underlying venous disease. A free evaluation can determine the cause.
Modern minimally invasive vein treatments leave minimal or no visible scarring. Radiofrequency ablation requires only a tiny entry point. Sclerotherapy uses injection only. Most patients see no scarring after healing.
Light walking is encouraged immediately. Most patients resume normal exercise within three to five days. Avoid heavy weightlifting and high-impact exercise for about a week.
