Leg heaviness that worsens after prolonged standing or walking, including golf, can be a sign of venous insufficiency. If the heaviness is accompanied by visible veins, swelling, or aching, a free vein evaluation can determine whether treatment is needed.
Medicare typically covers duplex ultrasound when ordered to evaluate symptoms of venous disease. Our billing team verifies coverage before any testing. The initial consultation and examination are provided free of charge.
Most patients can resume swimming within one to two weeks after treatment. Your specialist will provide specific guidance. Pool walking is generally allowed sooner than full swimming.
Many patients on blood thinners can still receive vein treatment. Our specialists will review your medication list during the free evaluation and coordinate with your prescribing physician to ensure safe treatment planning.
