What is diabetic neuropathy?

Diabetic neuropathy is a type of nerve damage that can occur in individuals with diabetes. It is caused by prolonged periods of high blood sugar levels, which can damage the nerves throughout the body, but most commonly affects the nerves in the feet and legs.

Symptoms of diabetic neuropathy can include numbness, tingling, pain, and weakness in the affected areas.

An estimated 50% of people with diabetes experience neuropathy.

What is Venous Insufficiency?

Venous insufficiency is a medical condition in which the leg veins have difficulty returning blood to the heart, causing blood to pool in the lower legs.

This can lead to symptoms such as aching, cramping, leg pain, swelling, varicose veins, spider veins, skin changes, and more. It is often caused by damage to the valves in the veins and can be managed through non-invasive treatments.
